Dear Edgewood Family,
I have exciting news!
Our Band and Choir Construction Projects for Edgewood Junior High School and Edgewood High School will begin on or shortly after October 5th.
During this project, EJHS and EHS will be expanded to include new Band and Choir facilities. The old Band and Choir rooms in the junior high will be converted into much-needed classrooms. The old Band and Choir rooms in the high school will be renovated into The Edgewood Life Sciences Training Center, which will include the latest technology and simulation equipment.
The entire project will be completed by the start of the 2028-2029 school year. We are hoping that Band and Choir will be able to move into their new spaces by the end of December, 2027. Once Band and Choir move into their new spaces, we will be able to begin renovating their current areas.
As excited as we might be about the new programs and facilities our students will be enjoying in the future, I do want to ask our school community to do the following:
1. Be patient with disruptions that normally occur during construction projects.
2. Plan ahead in case you need to change routines, times, routes, etc.
3. Be extra careful driving around the construction zones.
4. Enjoy watching our campus grow!
