Can my student ride a bus that isn't their assigned bus?

No, due to capacity your student is not allowed to ride a different bus than what has been assigned. This includes riding a different bus with friends, family, etc.

A bus assignment may be changed if it is a permanent and consistent change. For Example:

The student has moved, the student now goes to daycare, the student is now permanently going to a different location after school, etc.
The student will go to location A on Mon, Tue, Wed and location B on Thur, Fri.

Can my student ride the bus home with another student?

My student's bus is late coming home, what do I do?

I'm running late to get my Kindergartener off the bus, what should I do?

What can NOT be transported on the bus?

Due to safety and health reasons, the following items can NOT be transported on the school bus.

glass objects
open food or drink
balloons of any kind
plants and dirt
animals, reptiles, insects
large band instruments, school projects, or fundraisers that cannot be held on the lap of the student
Skateboards, balls or other sporting equipment unless they are secured in a bag that can be held on the lap of the student.

Important Information

Transportation Services will email your student's bus information, to the parent/guardian email on the student's Harmony account, approximately 1 week before school starts.
Students should be at their assigned bus stop 5-7 minutes prior to pickup time.
Kindergarten students will be seated in the front of the bus so they can be more closely monitored by the driver.
- If there is a sibling on the bus and you prefer they sit together, they will both be seated in the front section of the bus.
Drivers will not allow a Kindergarten student off the bus without a parent/guardian, another designated adult listed on Harmony, or older sibling present to receive them. If someone other than the parent/guardian will be meeting your Kindergartener, you must give the driver or Transportation Department written permission to release the student to that person. If you find you are not going to be at the stop on time to meet your child, please contact the school or Transportation office.

EIS/EPS kids will not be allowed to have their cellphones out on the bus, if parents insist on their children having them they are to remain in their backpacks just like the rules in school.
